We are currently at full capacity with 8 Pawsome residents. Meet them below!
Stanley
He was picked up as a stray in the streets of Cleveland, most likely dumped, and made his way here to FFR. He’s very affectionate and a fun little old man who has no teeth. He will never have to worry again about having a home or trying to survive. Welcome home little Stanley.
Walter James
Walter James was transported to FFR all the way from Dallas, TX. He was dumped and found near death by a good Samaritan on New Years Eve in the freezing rain. He’s a fighter and thankfully survived. Estimated to be around 16 y/o. Don’t let his age fool you cuz he still has pep in his step!
Gigi Ella
Gigi Ella is a super sweet 14 y/o Pom-Chi. Her human recently passed and family members couldn’t care for her so she was possibly going to be PTS. She loves everyone and always has a smile on her sweet face.
Joseph Smedley
Petite Mini-Schnauzer. He was rescued from a hoarding situation in which the breeder let things get out of control. He is very small and will always look like a puppy due to his size. He is very loving and likes to talk a lot as a typical schnauzer does. Even though he’s a Senior, he still manages to get into mischief sometimes…LOL. Due to improper breeding he has some neurological issues.
Daisy Mae
Mini-Schnauzer. Daisy was a puppy mill dog who lived in a 2 by 2-foot cage. The way she used to live is beyond heartbreaking. It took her a very long time to blossom into the fun-loving and super sweet furkid that she is. She still displays some minor behavioral issues from her severe neglect and mistreatment from years past, but we all think she’s perfect!
Pippin Marie
MinPin. Pippin was a product of a puppy mill. She is super smart and had earned her credentials as a Delta Therapy Dog years ago. She is quite the little diva and is known to be a “drama queen” sometimes. She has a sparkly and affectionate personality. She is simply a love-bug!
Romeo Bartholomew
Chorkie. Romeo was found as a stray wandering the streets. He is so spunky, loving and lots of fun. He has a lot of energy for a Senior. He still loves to play a lot and almost always has a toy with him.
Leo Montgomery
Yorkie Mix. Leo was dumped at a rural shelter in their overnight kitten drop box. He was so emaciated and flea infested that the fleas were literally eating him alive. He was skin and bones. Most of his hair was gone. With a lot of love, great nutrition, and time he has blossomed wonderfully and is full of life with a big personality. His hair has grown back and he is much healthier.
